This page explains what TheWaterColorLife.com collects when you use it, who receives it, and which outside services help run the site. TheWaterColorLife.com is the Watersound Real Estate site for WaterColor.
What the forms collect
When you send a request through a form on this site, we receive what you enter:
- Your name and email address, which are required
- Your phone number, if you give one
- What you are interested in and any message you write
- On a property page, the viewing date you choose
A request sent from a property page also carries that property's address, price, MLS number and page link, so the person replying knows which property you mean.
Who receives your request
Your request is emailed to the Watersound Real Estate sales team for WaterColor so they can reply to you.
Your name, email address, phone number and message are also added to BoldTrail, the customer relationship management (CRM) system Watersound Real Estate uses to keep track of inquiries.
What is recorded automatically
To prevent spam and abuse, each form submission also records:
- Your IP address
- Your browser user-agent, which is the browser and device type your browser reports
- Your approximate location: the city, region and country estimated from your IP address
- The page the form was sent from and the time it was sent
These details are included in the email described above and are kept in the site's server logs. They are not added to the CRM.
Your location on the map
The Show My Location button asks your browser for permission to use your location. If you allow it, your position is used only inside your browser to place a dot on the community map. It is not sent to us and it is not stored.
Services that help run this site
- Netlify hosts the site and runs the form handler. It processes your IP address to deliver pages, produces the approximate location described above, and stores the server logs.
- Brevo is the email provider that delivers form requests.
- BoldTrail is the CRM described above.
- Google Fonts supplies typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which sees your IP address.
- Spark supplies the listing details and photos from the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS® MLS. Listing photos load in your browser from Spark's image servers.
